Vancouv-her | The Tale of a City Girl in Vancouver: Part 3

Up and at it early this morning! Up at 7:00a.m. for some coffee, a quick breakfast, tossed a few items in a bag and we were off to Victoria for the day. The trip was definitely not as easy as it may sound, since we had to walk, take a bus, take the Skytrain (the Vancouver subway), take another bus, then take a ferry ride, and finally after 3 and a half hours of travel we finally made it in Victoria.

My boyfriend and I were guided around the city by one of the best tour guides I know - my Godmother - and her husband for a whirlwind trip to basically see all of Victoria in 7 short hours...

Vancouv-her | The Tale of a City Girl in Vancouver: Part 2

I survived Grouse Mountain! I (surprisingly) am able to still walk this morning, after my hiking adventure. Which is good since there was more walking in store for me today. Went for a short little walk this morning to the beach again, then spent the afternoon relaxing in my favourite spot followed by a little more work and some writing.

In the evening, I got to experience a tradition that my boyfriend has with his mom. Every summer the two of them go to Bard on the Beach, which is a large Shakespeare festival...

Vancouver is just like any other city, except it’s really not. For years my boyfriend, the Vancouver native, would go on and on about how amazing and beautiful his city was, to the point that I expected unicorns to prance down Main Street. So finally, after four years of imagining unicorns walking along the beach, we planned a trip to Vancouver together so I could really understand his love for this city.

The trip started on a bit of a rough foot (or wing), since we were majorly delayed flying out of Pearson Airport due to a tornado warning...
